Welcome to Writerbee’s Book Reviews.
As a science fiction/fantasy Writer, I like to read the works of my contemporaries as well as works of the true Masters of the craft. As I continue to spread myself out among the threads of social media, I am looking to discover the next Master and dive into their alternate reality. Check out On My “Shelf” to see what titles are coming up on my list. I read a variety of genres, but I try to stick with things that interest me as a reader.
Not all of them are sci-fi or fantasy, as I don’t believe that anyone should be trapped in one genre for life. I’ve never been a fast reader, and life with two young children often preempts the pleasure of enjoying a quiet moment and a book, so I can only promise I’ll get to each one as soon as possible.
Congratulations to those who’ve made it to my list. There will be plenty more to come. I’ll be letting you know what I think of your work at some point in the future, either directly or through Goodreads. For anything truly inspirational, you’ll end up here on my Blog. Thanks for writing, fellow artists!!!
I will be reading and reviewing books by Indie Authors (and a few not so Indie) that are worthy of a good word. I won’t post anything here that is derogatory – I’m not trying to make people cry. I will always be honest, and I will always look for the positive and focus less on the negative. That being said, I will point out what I didn’t like. These reviews are entirely MY OPINION, and not the opinion of any other reader, reviewer, or of the author. My mission is to support writers and the writing profession as a whole, and sometimes that means the truth hurts.
I will also post interviews from time-to-time with the authors I have read with specific questions about the work I reviewed. Cover Reveals and Book Promotions will appear as well.

I’m a New Zealand high school teacher and I also write sports biographies for kids who struggle with reading, especially boys. I teach in an area with low literacy levels so really try to encourage young people with reading.
